ABOUT ACTIVATED CARBON

All activated carbon are characterized by their pore size. Pore size have been classified into three type. Macropores [d = > 25 nm], Mesopores [d = 2-25 nm], and a large number of micropores [d =< 2 nm]. Micropores are developed during activation and contribute mainly to the surface area. Macropores do not add much to the surface area but provide passageway for the adsorbate to the micropores where adsorption does occur.
The adsorption power and rates is determined by the kind of activated carbon. The particle size the pore size and its distribution.

Powdered activated carbon are available for use in different type of industries. Depending on their industrial requirement as to METHYLENE BLUE adsorption. ASH contents. IRON contents. ACID soluble Etc.

Adsorption is the key to the performance of activated carbon.

Due to the high activity of our product very small quantity of activated carbon is required during the process.

Our material is tested under strict supervision and control to serve as per customer requirements. Sampling and testing of material is done after each stage in the production process to ensure we adhere to the quality standards set by us. All tests are ASTM STANDARDS methods.

The quality process control is strictly in accordance with customer’s specification. Ensures that the carbon manufacturer is precisely as required and that adsorption properties are tailored to the specific requirement of each customer.
